Enter Week 2

Well folks, we have wrapped up our first week of Season 13! After the first week we have seen some big shifts from the Power Grid from the preseason. What a week it was indeed with a lot of movement up and down by teams, with some big risers and fallers.

1. Bang The Drum (▲7)

2. Necromancy (▲10)

3. Toronto Nationals (▲10)

3. Red Deer Bandits (↔)

3. Seattle Kraken ▲5

6. Friggen Teal (↔)

7. Forfeit Kings (▼4)

8. Curse Reborn (▼7)

9. Evil Empire (▼7)

10. Valley Kings (▲4)

11. Stix N Dix (↔)

12. Bleacher Bums (▼7)

13. Boston Mighty Minis (▼4)

14. Home Ice Security (▼7)

Biggest Risers - Necromancy & Toronto Nationals

Bigger Fallers - Curse Reborn, Evil Empire & Bleacher Bums

Three Stars of Week One

★ FrankZTank6 (Evil Empire) - Leading the league with 27pts in 5 games, with 5.4 PPG. Although leading the league in points, it’s worth noting that 14 of those points were part of a 16-0 blowout against the bottom seed team.

★ ★ Zucc l36l (Necromancy) - Zucc has been instrumental in the 10 place jump for Necromancy, with a 6-1 record and averaging just above 3 PPG

★ ★ ★ Lcex35 (Toronto Nationals)  - Posting a .861% and a 2GAA while playing against some of the better teams of the league, Lcex looks reliable to help Toronto make a early impact.

Team Notes

1. BangTheDrumm (▲7)

BTD is showing that they can contend with the rest of the league without having any players in the top 10 for points. With other teams finding their footing, this will be interesting to see if they can maintain the spot

2. Necromancy (▲10)

Necromancy is showing that through the first week they can show they are able to hold their own. Goals against will need to be addressed to maintain the lead as it seems to be the biggest deficit.

3. Toronto Nationals (▲10)

With only a 8 person roster, Toronto has managed to go nearly undefeated. A well balanced performance from the team has helped them tie for the 3rd seed

3. Red Deer Bandits (↔)

Red Deer is showing that even with a lot of newer players, they can maintain their mid-high position of the past few seasons. Although not having anyone high in points, they have been able to battle for the 3rd slot

3. Seattle Kraken ▲5

With some solid goaltending performances, Seattle has been able to move up in the rankings. With some more production in the points category this team has the foundation to move on.

6. Friggen Teal (↔)

With only losses to teams in the top 4, Friggen Teal is surprisingly doing well. Letting up 30 goals in 8 games, goaltending is going to be a big issue if they dont work on finding a #1.

7. Forfeit Kings (▼4)

With some adjustments in the roster and some position swaps mid week, Forfeit Kings has been trying to find the chemistry of last season. With a outstanding week from Bourque l77l, the FF Kings have held onto the middle of the pack

8. Curse Reborn (▼7)

One of the biggest falls of the week, Curse has some ironing out to do going into week 2. There is a lot of variables with this and the team could go one of two ways going forward. I would expect to see Curse in the top 5 next week.

9. Evil Empire (▼7)

Another big fall in the standings, Evil Empire has played well against the bottom seed teams and that is where most of their points are stemming from. Being weak between the pipes will be a big factor.

10. Valley Kings (▲4)

Winning their first few games, they are currently on a 5 game slide. With room to still add players, it should be interesting to see what free agents are added in for depth

11. Stix N Dix (↔)

With not a lot of points on the board, it will be hard for Stix to move up in rankings. With 6 roster spots open, Stix should have their eyes on some Free Agents.

12. Bleacher Bums (▼7)

Realistically, this is where I expected Bleacher Bums to be this week. Single stream goaltending may be the death of them.

13. Boston Mighty Minis (▼4)

Tough week for Boston only squeezing off one win and dropping 6. Hope for a better week going forward

14. Home Ice Security (▼7)

Well, every season has one team like this. Is this Armyment in Sheeps Clothing? I guess there is only up from here.

Well folks, that’s all for this week! I should be putting out my top available Free Agents this week as well. As always, if you aren't happy with the article git gud
